Which companies do you collaborate with?
"Build my team" is suitable for startups at different stages including MVP development and scaling, as well as small and medium-sized businesses that want to create their own technology teams or make changes in their digital operations. This approach is not for hiring outside help, but for creating a flexible workforce.
How do you manage a process?
We have a customer success manager (CSM) for every project. We start by having a kickoff meeting to plan out what we need to do for the next few weeks. We employ a methodology known as Agile in our operations. Also, we create an infrastructure landscape for your project including the developer’s environment (Gitlab, Jira, and other services). We will show you what we've done at the end of each few weeks. We also give you the IP rights to use at the end of each few weeks. After that, the CSM will give you a report about how many hours we worked, so you can know how much it cost.
I don’t have a technical background, how do you help me to understand the efficiency of my team?
We have a two-step process for building a team. First, our talent manager looks at their soft skills. Next, our experts interview them to check their technical skills. We also watch how our team works every day. We pay attention to things like how many bugs they make, development speed, and adherence to project plans. This helps us make daily improvements to team member performance.
How does the payment process work?
Before work begins, you pay a deposit. Then, every two weeks, you pay for the work based on the developer's hourly rate and the number of hours worked. Payment is made automatically via Stripe or by invoice if you would prefer this method. The Skipp platform works with the Jira project management system, which helps clients understand how much things cost and manage the team's budget.
What is the typical development team?
For example, if you’re going to develop a product from scratch you will need a team comprising of different professionals such as a UX/UI designer, developers, project manager, QA Engineer, and in some cases, a product manager or DevOps engineer. This team could consist of a technical leader who works part-time for 20-40 hours per month, a UX/UI designer who works as needed, a part-time project manager to oversee the team and plan sprints, a full-time backend developer, a frontend/mobile developer, and a part-time QA engineer.
What is the typical budget for my team?
The team package, which includes a technical leader, 2 full-time developers, a UX/UI designer, a project manager, and a QA Engineer, has a monthly cost of around $15-25k, depending on the number of hours worked. Additionally, a Skipp client success manager will be provided at no additional cost.
How do you differ from freelance services like Toptal, Upwork, and Fiverr?
Our service assists companies in hiring tech professionals for a prolonged period, building in-house product development teams, monitoring team efficiency, and facilitating system integrations such as Gitlab for deployment, Jira for project management, and Slack for communication.
What if I don't like any of the specialists on the team?
You can change the size of your team and when they work as needed. If someone is not doing well, you can replace them without any notice. Just tell Skipp before the next work period starts, and we will make the change.
